Diamond Beach is a beautiful, six-kilometre-long beach in the Hallidays Point region. The beaches here are ideal for fishing, surfing or just enjoying a long coastal walk. For walking enthusiasts, there is a walking track that takes you from the southern end of Diamond Beach onto the small but pretty Shelley Beach, on Red Head. The beach is also dog and horse –riding friendly. Only 20mins from Taree and 15 mins from Forster / Tuncurry, the Diamond Beach area is fast becoming recognised as a top holiday destination for families and couples alike.
Featuring shady Norfolk Island Pines, perfect for picnicking and an ocean pool, for safe paddling, Black Head Beach is a multi-award-winning beach under the Keep Australia Beautiful Program, which is patrolled during summer and regarded as one of the best swimming beaches in the area. Offering an array of amenities, Black Head township has a supermarket, local cafés, a bowling club, and a surf lifesaving club.
Red Head Beach is located at the northern end of Black Head Beach where it meets the reddish-brown headland from which it gets its namesake. A quiet beach area, Red Head is an ideal spot to start the rainforest walk which encompasses dramatic coastal views, rare tracts of littoral rainforest and extensive koala habitat - a must for nature lovers. The walk takes in two headlands, Black Head and Red Head, and is joined by the long arc of Black Head Beach.
Tallwoods is a lovely bushland estate, which boasts a challenging 18 hole championship golf course. Conveniently located 15 mins North of Forster/Tuncurry and 20 mins south of Taree, Tallwoods offers access to the nearby coastline, including Blackhead and Diamond Beaches. A great place for both families and couples, the area is quiet, safe and friendly.

Hallidays Point Rainforest Nature Walks extend from Black Head in the south to Diamond Beach in the north. There are five scenic walks encompassing striking coastal landforms and vegetation as well as rare tracks of littoral rainforest, wetland and lagoon areas and is a must for nature lovers and keen photographers.

Taking place on the first Sunday of the month, Black Head Bazaar Markets offers an extensive variety of stalls selling fresh farm picked fruit and vegetables, handmade clothing and jewellery, homemade cakes, slices and biscuits. Food and wonderful fresh roasted coffee are available.
